Emil Yde Aasen
Delegate and Shell employee Emil Yde Aasen’s photo’s and story and motivation to attend the OYW summit.
“My Mission is to bridge the gap between the younger generations aspirations for a positive impact on climate change and the energy industry’s role in the energy transition” Emil is young, enthusiastic graduate in mechanical engineering with interests in the energy industry, communication management, and leadership. Driven by making new relations, working in dynamical environments, and learning from competent employees. I joined a technical role in the Shell graduate program, I have kept my ambition to drive a fact-based and engaging debate around these topics, and have acted as a Shell ambassador in both the political, educational and industry arena, by holding close to 30 presentations/workshops.
Inspiration, momentum, friends and a wider network. I hope to be a bridge-builder between the energy industry and the public, especially the youth. To succeed with this, I am dependent on continuously widening my horizon on the energy and climate challenges the world faces, and even more importantly how these challenges are perceived and worked in countries outside of Norway and Western Europe. After all, this is a global challenge.
